Fruit Quality
Very large, attractive, long conical shape,
medium consistency, bright red in colour. Thanks to its high sugar
level the flavour is very good. Asia has a long shelf-life.
Plant Characteristics
Vigorous, frost resistant.
Disease Resistance
Tolerant to most common root diseases,
susceptible to mildew (Oidium fragariae) and Colletotrichum acutatum.
Marketing Suitability
Asia is suitable for spring and autumn
cultivation in tunnels and open field. Good results have been
obtained in peat bag production systems.
Use of the Variety
High productivity, easy to pick, very attractive
fruit, good fruit size, very good flavour. Suitable for a
continental climate.
