- Imara (formerly selection 66) was bred by Advanced Berry
Breeding in the Netherlands.
- Production in the autumn starts approximately one week after Polka.
- Imara is a strong grower and the canes are highly branched. The
canes do have spines, but these are small.
- Imara is a highly productive variety with very good fruit
quality. It is easy to harvest and produces attractive uniform
shaped berries of beautiful colour that are not as dark as
Polka. The berries are firm, with an excellent flavour and have
a superb shelf life.
- To date Imara has had no significant problems with pests and diseases.
- An exciting new primocane raspberry with excellent yields for
spring and autumn cropping. Both crops produce fruit of superb
size, quality, flavour and shelf life.
