Parentage
Lowanna resulted from a cross between Selva and breeding line
89-064-1 made in 1992 at the Institute for Horticultural
Development, Knoxfield, Victoria, Australia, and tested under the
selection number 92-021-433.
Fruit Quality
Berries are large and very attractive, uniformly red in colour and
very glossy. Shape is uniformly conical which allows a very
consistent presentation of punnets. Flesh colour is light red
throughout and quite firm being similar to Selva. The calyx is
spreading, about the diameter as the fruit and detaches easily.
Plant Characteristics
Plants are of medium density and moderate vigour.
