Cropping Season
Malling Silk is a mid-season variety, fruiting approximately 3-days before Elsanta in the UK.

Fruit Quality
Berries are attractive with a regular conical shape, mid to deep red colour and good skin and flesh firmness. Malling™ Silk his recommended for its good eating qualities being sweet and very juicy with good Brix levels.

Fruit Yield
60-day fruit yields are moderate, main crop yields are similar to Elsanta. Fruit size is similar to also Elsanta. Malling™ Silk has good skin and flesh firmness.

Plant & Disease Characteristics
Malling™ Silk has an upright, leafy habit with vigorous growth and dark matt leaves. The fruit is well displayed leading to an easy harvest. Malling™ Silk shows good tolerance to Verticillium wilt (Verticillium dahliae) with similar levels of susceptibility to powdery mildew (Podosphaera aphanis) as Elsanta.
