Characteristics of Versailles

Cropping Season
Versailles has a mid/early cropping period, cropping 7-10 days after Polka.

Fruit Quality
The berries are very large conical shaped beautiful fruit, that’s very similar to Tulameen. The fruit is brightly coloured with good flavour and shelf life. The colour is also maintained well after picking.

Fruit Yield
In trials yield potential has been similar to or less than Polka. To optimize the fruit yield it is recommended to plant Versailles at higher plant densities of 6-8 plants per metre². It also has uniform cropping pattern, no peaks.

Plant Characteristics
Canes are upright and spine-free providing an easy to harvest. Plants have good hardiness. Fruit is produced on short laterals.
